but a winter storm warning starts later today and goes through sunday morning. but again, this system is closer to far to the west, so they'll get some snow up there. but this looks like a bigger rain event than it does snow event. but they'll get some snow up there, especially saturday as the cold air starts to work its way in. the system will come right to the surface, low will come right to the bay area and then start to hold. kit and caboodle will start to head down the coast here. so cold temps, heaviest rain i think santa cruz area and you can see the focus watch, watch around ben lohman and santa cruz going into not only tonight but also saturday. look at that two. plus, i would easily expect some three inch amounts through this by the time we get to saturday night. maybe even into sunday, the system could produce some excessive rainfall on the central california coast all the way down to southern california by the time we get into sunday morning. so friday rain and wind, cloudy, cool morning rain develops and chilly high temps. you guys all right? >> thank you. steve declined. enrollment and budget shortfalls are forcing schools to make a difficult decision. the latest campus that will close this

it's friday march 29th. big question today. when can you walk the dog or take a run or be outside because rain is moving in. >> steve i think you're on your own today because it's already developing. i mean, it's you know, you maybe you'll get a break, but i'm not going to go that far here. 40s because it's already we already have thunderstorm activity to the north and rain is just moving in here. so 40s on the temps, lightning strikes already observed off the coast, and there's a pretty good line of thunderstorms, maybe just to the west of the bay area, that i think will mean everything is beginning to enhance here. so riders on the storm today? no, and i don't say storm very often, but this one is definitely in that category. wind and rain pick up cool high temps only 50s. that's it. warmer temps so early next week if you can just hang in there are usually on the morning commute. you know people are strange but hopefully today is quieter. is that correct? >> so i think so. you know it's cold steve. it is, it is. i'm going to after this, i'm going to go home and light my fire. and i don't blame him. yeah,
