tv   The Reid Out  MSNBC  March 29, 2024 4:00pm-5:00pm PDT

4:00 pm
the work week is over, but not "the beat" because tomorrow, and every saturday, you can always watch "the beat" weekend at 4:00 p.m. eastern on saturdays. that's 4:00 p.m. eastern tomorrow. a way to catch up with some of our highlights from the week. that's tomorrow at 4:00 p.m. have a great weekend and keep it locked right here because "the reidout" is up now. tonight on "the reidout" -- >> can voters trust a
4:01 pm
presidential candidate who has not won a single trump international golf club trophy at long last, sir, have you no chip shot? >> well, look. i would be happy to play. i told him once before when he came in to the oval when he was -- before he got sworn in. i said i'll give you three strokes if you carry your own bag. >> president biden at last night's huge fund-raising gala in new york, where he deftly handled protesters while his opponent sets his perceived enemies up to face violence. including judges and their families. michael cohen will join me in a moment. also tonight, on this good friday, the blasphemy of donald trump. he cashes in on bibles, breaks commandments and compares himself to jesus on the cross. why do so many evangelical christians continue to support him? but we begin tonight with a tale of two campaigns.
4:02 pm
on thursday, president joe biden was joined by two of his democratic predecessors for a star-studded fund-raiser at radio city music hall that his campaign said brought in more than $26 million. former presidents barack obama and bill clinton joined biden on stage with mindy kaling hosting and stephen colbert moderating the conversation. it was a huge night. historic. and hollywood showed up for the democratic contender. which must have really gotten under donald trump's skin. trump couldn't hack it in hollywood, and he hates that hollywood loves the democrats. but especially barack obama. last night, there were actual celebrities showing up for joe biden. instead of the fake d-listers who show up for donald trump, people like vanilla ice, who performed ice ice baby at mar-a-lago new year's eve, at a mar-a-lago new year's eve bash with a teenage mutant ninja turtle. if that sounds like a '90s fever
4:03 pm
dream, that's because it is. another one of trump's fake celebs, the guy on the left, the one who once threw shade at beyonce saying she didn't have a legendary song. he learned his lesson when the beehive stung back. more on beyonce later in the show, but i digress. the hollywood thing creates quite the contrast with trump, but there was another important contrast as well. at last night's event, protesters heckled biden over his policy in gaza. >> people watching at home -- excuse me, mr. president. for people who are watching at home, there are protesters here. >> now, listen, biden has faced protests before. this is now just a part of his life as a person campaigning for
4:04 pm
re-election, but with policies during his administration that part of his base deeply opposes. but you'll notice that he didn't respond with threats or rage, rather with compassion. here's how he responded to pro-palestinian protesters who interrupted his health care speech on tuesday. >> what about the health care in gaza? >> everybody deserves health care. they have a point. we need to get a lot more care into gaza. >> be patient with them, he said. they have a point, he said. and last night, when he was heckled over gaza, he said that's all right. let them go. while his former boss barack obama added it is possible to have moral clarity and to have deeply held believed and still recognize that the world is complicated. quite the contrast from the other guy, who opts for a more, shall we say, toxic tone when anyone dares to protest him. >> look at these people. get out of here.
4:05 pm
get out! out, out, out! >> you know what they used to do to guys like that when they were in a place like this? they would be carried out in a stretcher. >> like to punch him in the face, i'll tell you. >> if you see somebody getting ready to throw a tomato, knock the crap out of them, would you? seriously. okay. just knock the hell -- i promise you, i will pay for the legal fees. i promise. >> but like any bully who hides behind a pulpit, the reality is that donald trump is a physical coward. he just really likes goading other people to get violent on his behalf. he ruminates on people getting shot. he sent his supporters to sack the capitol and seemed totally fine with mike pence getting hanged. cassidy hutchinson even said trump thought he deserved it. now he's facing the biggest threat he's ever faced in the form of criminal trials, but the only one he can't seem to get rid of before the election is his upcoming new york hush money criminal trial, less than 24
4:06 pm
hours after getting hit with a partial gag order in the new york criminal case involving his alleged falsification of business records, trump repeatedly lashed out at the one person who is not covered by the partial gag order, the judge. and so it begins. or rather never ends. with donald trump going after the new york judge, juan marchan, along with his daughter, accusing her of sharing a photo of trump behind bars on social media, court officials quickly knocked that down saying the account on x, twitter, is bogus. well, too late. the damage is done. this young woman's name is out there. trump's most fanatical supporters will target her. that's what he wants. maybe that will slow this trial down. we have seen this story play out before. governor george wallace created an atmosphere of fear with hateful rhetoric inciting fileance throughout the south, while the 1924 democratic convention held at madison square garden in new york has fist fight in the aisle as well as a presidential candidate who
4:07 pm
banked on support from the ku klux klan. political violence is woven into america's history, none of this is new. and that is perhaps the reason why we understand what trump's words are capable of. trump is doing what he always does, making threats, calling out his so-called enemies and their loved ones, and unleashing the maga mob on innocent lives. he knows these dark forces will lead to violence. anyone who witnessed january 6th knows he is leading a cult of followers. he understands that he's leading a cult of followers. any other human being would face legal consequences for this stuff, but so far, trump has not. the situation is so dire that a republican appointed judge issued a rebuke on cnn which is extremely rare for a sitting judge to do, saying trump's attacks could lead to violence. >> very disconcerting to have someone making comments about a judge, and it's particularly
4:08 pm
problematic when those comments are in the form of a threat, especially if they're directed at juan's family. we do these jobs because we're committed to the rule of law, and we believe in the rule of law, and the rule of law can only function effectively when we have judges who are prepared to carry out their duties without the threat of potential physical harm. >> we should also note that late today, trump's attorneys filed a motion challenging the gag order. the district attorney has also asked judge marchan to clarify or confirm whether the gag order applies to family members. joining me is michael cohen, a key witness in trump's upcoming hush money trial. he's the host of the mea culpa podcast, the political beatdown podcast, and the author of ruvenge, how donald trump weaponized the u.s. department of justice against his critics. always very good to talk to you. i want to listen to a
4:09 pm
nonexhaustive roundtable of donald trump attacking prosecutors, judges, and their families. >> i have been treated very unfairly by this judge. this judge is of mexican heritage. i'm building a wall. >> the trump hating prosecutor in the case, his wife and family despise me much more than he does. and he decides, i think he's about a ten. they're about a 15 on a scale of 10. then you have deranged jack smith who is a trump hater. and represents all of the trump haters. >> you have a radical left attorney general like letitia james who is a disgrace to our country. >> the judges on this cases, they're all trump haters. >> what's his goal when he does that? >> his goal is to fuel up his supporters, as you stated in your opening. to fuel up his haters for the sole purpose of getting them to act. no differently, and as stupidly as they did on january 6th. his goal is to get them to
4:10 pm
attack these individuals, these critics of him. as often and as frequently as they can, whether it's going to be on social media, whether it will be through phone calls, whether it will be in person. that's his goal. intimidation and -- it's witness intimidation and harassment. >> you went from working for donald trump for ten years to being on the other side of him. you were very ostentatiously returned to prison because you wouldn't stop writing a book about him. talk about what happens when he targets you, because you're now a witness against him in this criminal trial that he can't seem to stop. >> well, just the other day, two hours before the signing of this gag order, which i believe that i'm included in, he put out a tweet that had my name and it's a little bit incoherent, which is something that donald's posts have recently been. but it was an incoherent thing that talked about me and death. what is his goal? again, it's to insight these
4:11 pm
followers to prevent me from appearing before the new york district attorney, before the manhattan district attorney in this upcoming trial. he does not want to face accountability at any cost. >> and just to be clear, you know donald trump. is he doing this because he's scared, because he knows if this trial happens he could lose, he could be anadjudicated felon and that means he couldn't get back into the white house and stop the other cases the. >> let me be clear about something. first, there's no constitutional prohibition for a felon being the president of the united states and running it out of a federal correctional institution. all there is no constitutional prohibition against that. is donald afraid of this upcoming manhattan d.a. case, the alvin bragg case? absolutely. it's not even scared. it's petrified. he has seen right now losses in every single case that he has
4:12 pm
been on over the last, what, two, three years. it's whether it's the e. jean carroll case or the new york attorney general case, he knows the documentation that exists and the only way, the only method that they think they have to keep him out of a criminal conviction in this case is to try to disparage, denigrate, harass, intimidate me. either so i don't show up, and let me be clear about something, too. i have said this on other programs. i didn't ask to be a witness in this case. i'm subpoenaed, but things are getting a little bit out of control. the amount of death threats that i have gotten after the post that he put out there, the hate on social media that i'm receiving from his supporters is intensified after that tweet as well or that post. this is not a joke. he knows what he's doing. and i think it's incumbent upon the manhattan d.a., along with
4:13 pm
whatever judge marchan is capable of doing, to do something to protect not just staff, not just his own child, but all of the witnesses that are being asked to testify. this is their case. it's not my case. it's not stormy daniels' or karen mcdougal or any of the other people who are supposed to be testifying. it is incumbent upon them to protect all of the witnesses. >> right, and let's be clear, the judge's daughter, it's not her case either. she has literally nothing to do with it. >> no, it is not. and my heart goes out to her. i know what she's going through. it is uncomfortable. it's not that donald -- when i first started going through the issue, donald was the president of the united states. you could only imagine how much more intense it was, but this young lady has absolutely no business being involved in any of this. who her father is, who was assigned the case has nothing to do with her. but he doesn't care.
4:14 pm
i don't understand why people don't see what's going on here. he doesn't care. and he will do whatever is necessary so that he gets a benefit at the end of the day. even if that means going after somebody, and here's the bad part about it. even assuming it's not going to be woun of donald trump's social media posts or however else that he decides to talk about these various issues, he will use surrogates to do it, no different than what oan did to me the other day when they put out some crazy, crazy nonsensical article about tony suruga is a whistleblower, claiming the affair that existed between trump and stormy daniels was not actually trump and stormy daniels but rather it was me and stormy daniels and we concocted this conspiracy in 2016 to extort the president or
4:15 pm
i should say the presidential candidate. i mean, it is so absurd. i responded, if you believe any aspect of this story, despite the amount of headache and trouble that this ridiculous article caused me, if you believe any part of that article, i have not one but two bridges in new york to sell you. that's how stupid it is. >> and beyond that, with this election coming up, let me quickly, i don't know if we have the time. let me play what you said in 2019 about trump, what you testified to in gres. >> given my experience working for mr. trump, i fear that if he loses the election in 2020, that there will never be a peaceful transition of power. and this is why i agreed to appear before you today. >> we now know there's been a 600% spike in threats to election workers, following the lawsuit to take donald trump off the ballot. we're talking about election workers quitting in states like
4:16 pm
arizona. you predicted he would not leave office peacefully. he didn't. if he is convicted in this new york case, what do you think will happen next? >> well, i think of course that he will continue to try to rally his troops, his maga army. but a better prediction that i would like to make is that if god forbid a million times that donald wins in 2024, my prediction is that there will never be another election thereafter. >> i agree with you. michael cohen, i appreciate you always coming through and telling us the real facts. scaring is caring as we say on the show. thank you very much. up next on "the reidout," trump selling politically modified copies of the bible. and comparing himself to jesus is more than just a money making scheme to pay his legal bills. it's a direct contradiction to what christianity is supposed to be about. "the reidout" continues after this.
4:17 pm

4:19 pm
4:20 pm
4:21 pm
i'm wondering what one or two of your most favorite bible verses are. >> i wouldn't want to get into it because to me that's very personal. the bible means a lot to me. i don't want to get into specifics. >> even the cite a verse you like. >> an old testament or new testament guy? >> probably equal. >> today is good friday, which if donald trump had ever read or briefly scanned the bible, he might know. but if you are a christian
4:22 pm
believer, you know that it marks the day jesus of nazareth, a palestinian jewish carpenter born in poverty was crucified for the crime of defying the roman emperor by worshiping the got of israel rather than the emperor himself. and an invented crime for which he was nailed to a cross and mocked by roman soldiers who affixed to his head a crown of thorns and labeled him king of the jews. a man who performed miracles for the poor, the sick, and the hated and who despite being the son of the divine, died for the sins of the masses. a man whose entire ministry was about serving the poor, the immigrant, and embracing the rejected. good friday is when christians commemorate his sacrifice for all mankind and then there's donald trump, a man born with a silver spoon in his mouth who has only ever served himself. and who is running for president again to keep himself out of prison.
4:23 pm
and yet, he has also cast himself as a modern day jesus, during this most sacred week in the christian calendar. he posted this message from a follower. it's ironic that christ walked through his greatest persecution the very week they're trying to steal your property from you. the term christ, by the way, is not jesus' last name. it's a greek translation of the name messiah. the king and savior of the world. to my knowledge, jesus, the messiah, never paid off a porn star to cover up committing adultery while his third wife was pregnant with his fifth child. nor do i remember jesus selling a golden calf or golden sneaker. he wasn't hawking bibles for the low, low price of $59.99, you can buy the god bless the usa bible, the only bible endorsed by trump. to donald trump, a bible is no more sacred than a drump board game or trump water.
4:24 pm
it's just another cheap tchotchke to sell to his followers. something to sell to frightened white evangelical christians to get them to set aside what they know about their faith and vote for trump anyway, to keep him out of jail. trump has turned them into cult members, shared his persecution complex with them, to get them to believe he's fighting a holy war for them. but because he doesn't know anything about the actual jesus, donald trump doesn't understand that a real messiah would never say migrants are poisoning the blood of our country, what jesus actually said was i was a stranger and you welcomed me. before he died he said, father forgive them, for they know not what they do. joining me now is reverend al sharpton, host of "politics nation" on msnbc. and robert p. jones, president and founder of the public religion research institute and author of the hidden roots of white supremacy and the path to a shared american future. thank you for being here. i have to turn to my play
4:25 pm
pastor, my part-time pastor, reverend sharpton, did i get my theology right? >> right on, no problem at all. >> because i listen. i listen to the pastors, including yourself. talk to me about trump. trump is not a christian. i mean, he's not a religious man at all. you know him, he was not religious. >> i have never heard him even discuss religion, less be accused of attending religious gathers, which is why it is so insulting to me as one who grew up in the church and have been a preacher since i was a boy, for him to not only come with selling bibles during holy week, i mean, this is the week that we who believe in christ, the real christ, deal with the crucifixion today of jesus, good friday. and sunday, the resurrection. and for him to use that as a marketing tool, where the money goes to donald trump, not to a
4:26 pm
cause, not to help the poor, not even to his campaign. to him. which means he's really doing this to pay off lawyers, to get out of the porn star situation, defrauding bank situation. and to do this shows somebody who is not only not religious but is totally insensitive to those who are. to take the bible and say that this is the only bible endorsed by donald trump, if you believed it was the sacred word of god, who are you or i to endorse the word of god. >> and add to it. >> and add to it. >> there was no counsel that added to the bible. donald trump did it. and i need to know, robert jones, why do so many white evangelical christians, why are they down with this? this is what you might call apostsy, idolatry. this is sin. and yet they are saying we are for it. >> i'll dust off my own master
4:27 pm
divinity degree and say a word that's been rolling around in my head this week, blasphemy. any time someone attributes the attributes of the deity to themselves and defiled things that are sacred, that's straight up blasphemy, and the other thing, too, the most fundamental piece in sort of christianity is a willingness to repent of one's sins. trump has openly said he has never felt a need to repent of his sin, a tenet of becoming christian. here's the thing, i think the only reason why we, i think, are scratching our heads or seem confused about what evangelicals' support for trump is because we have accepted some mythology they have handed us, it's all about abortion and white evangelicals have held their nose and voted for trump, but the data simply does not back that up. here's the truth, it's not just
4:28 pm
been about abortion. when trump denigrates immigrants, calls them rapists and criminals, white evangelicals are with him in that sentiment, fearful sentiment of immigrants. when trump has denigrated the black lives matter movement and really supported confederate monuments, white evangelicals are with him on those. it's this broader world view that is really the reinstitution of the 1950s white christian america, white christian nationalism. that bible is, if we ever had any doubts about trump's white christian nationalist agenda, this bible, if you could call it that, this book that he's bound these things up, these unholy things together, is an indication that this is exactly what he's going to institute if he's returned to power. >> it is, i mean, we have seen vladimir putin do this, rev. in russia, where he's not a religious man, but has sort of cultivated the church in russia
4:29 pm
to do what he needs to do. we have seen netanyahu cultivate highly religious people to get what he wants. with donald trump, it is blasphemy. does it surprise you that there are not more white christian leaders who stand up and say that? >> well, i think if you're dealing with white christian nationalism, which is not christian at all, it is not surprising. and it is not only blasphemy, it's treachery, because it's people that really don't believe that would manipulate and have no hesitation to misuse scripture. when you look at jesus, who told the story of the good samaritan, the story of the good samaritan, here was a man of another race that stopped and helped a man that people of his own race and religion wouldn't help. he is, donald trump is calling people of a different race, they will poison the blood of people in america. so that is antithetical to
4:30 pm
jesus. it's a distortion. for him to use a book that tells the story of jesus as a commercial entity to enrich himself to cover for his misdeeds and illegal deeds according to some of the civil court issues is absolutely treachery on top of blasphemy. >> indeed. it's ugly stuff. but it's good to have you here to talk about it. al sharpton and robert p. jones, thank you very much. wishing you both a wonderful and peaceful easter. coming up, it is a striking image. today's cover omthe "wall street journal," empty, where evan gershkovich's reporting should be. it's been exactly one year since his wrongful imprisonment in russia. more on that next. meet the jennifers.

as of today, "wall street journal" reporter evan gershkovich has spent exactly one year behind bars in russian captivity, after being wrongfully detained on espionage charges which he, the journal, and the u.s. government all vehemently deny. the kremlin claims he was caught red handed receiving secret information, but to this day, they have not provided any evidence to support that accusation. gershkovich appeared in a russian courtroom on tuesday, where his pretrial detention was extended for the fifth time until at least june. though a trial date has still not been set. earlier this week, evan's parents spoke to nbc's andrea
4:36 pm
mitchell about this grueling year as well as the last phone call they had with their son before his imprisonment. >> he said that he needs to finish this story. and he'll go back next week. >> it is hard to feel anything, it's hard to think about anything. >> we are keeping ourselves optimistic. that's the best way we can cope with it. no pessimism. pessimism will kill all the hope. >> gershkovich is one of the many victims of vladimir putin's relentless crackdown on the press. this month alone, russian authorities have detained six journalists, according to reporters without borders, including one who covered the trials of alexei navalny who died in prison last month. joining me now is nbc chief international correspondent keir simmons. always good to see you. the state of the gershkovich case, where does it stand and and his parents say they're hopeful.
4:37 pm
>> yeah, just have to maintain hope. you see hem in those images. he looks like he's healthy and strong. the u.s. ambassador is able to visit him in the prison. that prison in central moscow, former kgb, pretty chilling place, but apparently he's mentally strong. he's able to exchange letters with loved ones and supporters. he is, as you mentioned, on pretrial detention. that means that he can effectively be held indefinitely. he's not on trial. they say they're still gathering evidence. and ultimately, what these hearings are about are just trying to see if they can get him out of that detention. they haven't even got to arguing over the evidence. as you mentioned, we don't even know what the evidence is. >> let's talk about some of the americans who have been held, paul whalen, mark fogle, a dual citizen, there are brittney griner of course was released in a prisoner swap in 2022.
4:38 pm
and then of course, vladimir car amirza. what seems to be the goal of these detentions? is this about some sort of lev wj with the united states? what is it about? can you tell? >> i'm glad you mentioned all of them because it is important to keep the focus on all of them, of course. i think sometimes we get so focused on putin as the kind of mastermind, i'm not sure russia is quite like that. clearly, he is an autocrat. i definitely think that the ambition is to try to swap evan and possibly others for, for example, fsb officer who is held for murder in germany. so that is something that they kind of would like to achieve. but just think about this. alexei navalny, president putin claimed, you know, you have to question whether you believe him, but president putin claimed he agreed for him to be released and just days later, he was dead. what does that tell you about the state of russia and how
4:39 pm
disorganized it is in some ways. >> let me play your questioning of vladimir putin shortly after alexei navalny's death. >> journalist evan gershkovich spent his election in prison. boris, who opposes your war in ukraine, wasn't allowed to stand against you. and alexei navalny died in one of your prisons during your campaign. mr. president, is this what you call democracy? >> translator: ignoring gershkovich, putin said he was unpopular and navalny died. that's life, he said. putin did say days before navalny's death, he agreed to exchange him on condition he never returned. >> two quick questions. is there any evidence there was a prisoner exchange planned, and secondly, could a russian journalist ask those questions? >> great questions. first one, no. we can't know for sure. second one, it's important to say, listen, nbc news continues
4:40 pm
to report from russia. we have a really brave and great team in moscow continuing to work with us. but yes, if you are a russian journalist in russia, then you are crushed if you criticize, and that's the reality of it. and we must never forget that. another piece, too. you know, president putin spouts this history revisionism, tries to manipulate history to justify now. many of the russian people agree with that, from what we can tell, from independent polling, from the conversations i have had. it's a country with 11 time zones. you can't say for sure -- >> what russians think. >> right, but there's that aspect. also the economy is becoming increasingly militarily oriented. that is really scary. because it isn't just about putin. it's about how that country is shifting. when you hear someone like the prime minister of poland warning
4:41 pm
this week that we are in a pre-war period, that is what he means. that russia is becoming a different place. and a more threatening place. and president putin may will be in power now for another 12 years. >> indeed. keir simmons, nbc's keir simmons, thank you. we say our keir simmons. >> i'm yours. >> we appreciate you. >> coming up, the right clearly doesn't care about the economy or people's livelihoods because they're now complaining about using federal funds to replace the collapsed bridge in baltimore. and get the key port back running again. that's next. power e*trade's award-winning trading app makes trading easier. with its customizable options chain,

. today, president biden announced he would head to baltimore next week. he has said he expects congress to fully cover the cost of rebuilding the francis scott key bridge. now, in the era before trump infected american politics that was a normal expectation. back in 2007 after the collapse of the i-335 w. bridge over the mississippi bridge in minneapolis which killed 13 people, both chambers of congress voted unanimously to send $250 million in emergency funding to minnesota to help clean up and rebuild that bridge. today, in the seemingly never ending trump era of fascist politics where conservatives come up with pretty idiotic ways
4:47 pm
of politicizing a freak accident, that is outrageous according to pennsylvania congressman dan muser. >> i was kind of outrageous, immediately, for biden to express in this tragedy the idea that he's going to use federal funds to pay for it inentirety. we can't take the easy route all the time. >> as the people of maryland mourn those who died and struggle to fund a new bridge, muser said he would spend his time trying to get trump elected. >> so you think president trump can win pennsylvania? >> absolutely. in fact, he's ahead right now. >> yeah. >> that is my only goal for '24. >> my only goal. if congressman muser feels so strongly about doing nothing but helping trump, i wonder if he thinks pennsylvania should return the $13.2 billion in funding his state is set to receive from president biden's

infrastructure bill to repair the more than 3,000 bridges and over 7500 miles of highway in that state that are in poor condition. does he want to roll the dice on that? joining me now, dean obeidallah. host of the dean obeidallah show. also from sirius xm, clay kane, author of the niem best selling the grift. the downward spiring of black republicans from the party of lincoln to the cult of trump. clay, you're up first. so if you can't spend federal money to repair the bridge in baltimore, why should president biden give muser's state any money? >> it really is the downward spiral of republicans in general. i mean, i can recall, i would hear narratives like this babbling on social media, but to see this on a quote/unquote news network coming from folks in congress, it's just despicable. to see that bridge go down and think of the immigrants who were working on that bridge that are no longer with us, to think you wouldn't have any kind of compassion for that or you just

think it's some kind of detour to predict that trump is going to win pennsylvania, it's deplorable, heartbreaking, saddening, disgusting. and this is who we are not. not a social media echo chamber. this is our politicians. >> it's given republicans a chance to use a new -- to create a new code work for black people. it used to be crt, now dei means black. they don't like black people. just say it. say it. >> you had the mayor of baltimore on your show who said point blank, they don't have the courage to say n-word. look at the congressman upset that president biden is being a president. he's going on tv saying we're going to use federal funds to help a catastrophe which is an interstate highway which 31,000 cars go over that bridge every day. this affects the entire region. and to remind people, even though he's from pennsylvania, it's the blue states that fund the federal government. >> correct. >> we're the makers, red states are the takers. i'm happy to help them. and remember, trump during covid, he wanted to help the red

states or governors who kiss up to him, not the blue states. >> maryland is a blue state, meaning it pays more in federal taxes into the federal coffers than it takes out. the majority of red states do the opposite. let's talk about voting. another case where republicans want to have it kind of two different ways. we have just now seen something good happen. this was a young woman, a woman who crystal mason, she got sentenced for five years for voting a provisional ballot which is what you're supposed to do when you're not sure you're able to vote. she was on probation, she voted, she got a five-year sentence. that was just now overturned. in georgia, the republican party's firstparty first vice chairman. he violated state election laws when he voted nine times while serving probation on a felony check forgery sentence. a conservative talk show host, he must now just pay a $5000 fine and receive a public

reprimand. she got five years voting a provisional ballot probation. he was also on probation for a very serious crime and he got a $5000 fine. >> i interviewed crystal mason several times. the state of texas waged war on this woman. attorney general ken paxton waged war on her. she lost her job and her home went into foreclosure because she bet -- cast a provisional ballot that was not even counted. to see this hypocrisy, the double standard of it all. it is also a narrative of where it is voter intimidation, leading you know whether you are ruby freeman, an election worker, a black woman with kids and also a grandmother that they will wage war on you for somebody else. they destroyed crystal mason. i hope she gets some kind of compensation but she won't. >> i'm going to ask you about this. the supreme court is very clear

. they just want republicans to win. they have slow walked a congressional map of south carolina. they say that you have to use that map because we can't be bothered to fix it. it seems to me that at this point the supreme court is in the business of trying to get trump and republican selected. >> they informed people about a year ago the map where nancy mace represents is an illegal gerrymander. it dilutes the votes of black people. they are get this in court last fall and this gop court has not delivered an opinion. the result is a practical matter. they will run the election on illegal maps. this gop court, everybody has to be with the same way. it is part of the gop. it is part of the apparatus. democrats have to make expanding the court and bringing judiciary to to the judiciary one of the big things. they are delaying the immunity

case. the only thing they were fast on was the 14th amendment case to make sure he got back on the ballot. >> i call clarence thomas's wife the 10th member of the supreme court. he put in the blueprint. he has etched it in stone and it has been profitable for him. >> he is essentially trading. i don't know if he believes this stuff or not but essentially his votes are traded for a fabulous lifestyle he could not get from a job. the iranians he could not get the job you wanted to be a rich lawyer because of racism. >> he admits this war on de i, he admitted that he succeeded because of affirmative action and he's against affirmative action. he was one of the first judges ever that did not get a unanimous rating of being well- qualified. he was a de i hire and was elevated. >> i almost wish somebody would invent something, black people

are happy. unacceptable. very quickly, gaza getting better or not getting better? >> the washington post reported that biden approved more weapons to israel including 2000 pound bombs that can hit people a quarter mile away. >> these guys are not going anywhere. up next, we will play. my pick is in the music industry. lara trump is now attempting to sell heavily auto tuned original music. you will have to wait and see after the break. the break.
