doppler radar this morning heavy rain pushing through kent county near millington and parts of cecil county near cecilton and we get the break and it's not going to be south but west and north. we have the concern of any sort of stickage. because of the delay of the cold air, we diminish our chance of the flash freeze. benefit ofrise will help us but there's that rapid changeover and enough moisture left over that there could be spots west and north, a dusting half andinch. look at stuff in western p.a. maybe even york. we are looking at the morning temperatures already falling in a fury. we have ourselves mid-30s expected for the rest of the day and winds 40 to 50 miles per hour. we are tracking the threat of snowflakes and we have 4:32 and check on the traffic with angela. >> reporter: thank you. good morning. first look at the roads this morning we are already dealing with a few incidents.

degree snap over the course of about five miles here in baltimore when i made my drive in. warm at home and cold er. >> it started dropping and continued to sled. hazy shade of winter. we have rain ending in snow showers across the area. will there be stickage. if there's icing it will go north and west of the city but the winds for all of us as we have an advisory that kicks in and we gust 40 to 50 miles per hour. quickly want to show you if you have questions about winter and a minus 8 wind chill they are getting snow and 19 oakland and 36 hagerstown with snow and 42 top of the hour in baltimore and 50 in easton and yes, we are starting to pivot this through. already mixing on the west side and a lot of snow around the great lakes that's going to stay on the other side of the mountains. we get the snow showers this

suspected drunk pilot made a perfect landing. this is not on a runway but in a tree. yes. but no one was harmed. the plane was left to spin in the air held up by tree limbs. witnesses say the pilot climbed out of the tree just after the crash curled up for a nap in the neighbor's barn before contacting anyone. as you expect, police are investigating this most unusual of landings. time for a check of the forecast. weather going to be the big story today. justin is all over it. >> yeah. good morning. and i am trying to get my updates from the west side. the meteorologist out there in hagerstown said they turned over to snow. temperatures are in the 20s but they are not getting stickage. that's the idea they got that in the mountains limiting our chance of getting the dusting to ionch. really limiting it. so we are turning things over. finksburg and westminster and hereford zone waiting to see if mount airy is there. this is a computer extrapolation of what might be

happening. it may not be showing where theflakes are falling. starting to turn in through howard county. the wider picture 42 top of the hour in baltimore. 28 in buffalo but look at the teens across the great lakes. and then single digits. a lot of cold air that's wrapping behind this storm system and we show a tornado right? no it's whipping up. low pressure cold front stretching through and it's about the arctic blast and we get in on that. and the real question this morning is was about the road conditions and if this had happened 3, 4, hours earlier flash freeze almost a guarantee. timing of this is a little bit suspicious. and while the cold air is moved down into the deep south and mountains of tennessee, we get into the cold air and some moisture left over and there will be snow showers but we are dealing with rain and we are dealing with the wind and we will deal with leftover clouds snow in the mountains and in and out of the cloud with the threat of flurries and snow showers through the ravens game. but for today a real issue is the wind advisory we are stuck
